The Giver

The book, "The Giver" is about a dystopian society somewhere in the future and everything seems perfect. No one see's anything wrong with the place. They all get their jobs and they help out with the society somehow. And the main character Jonas got the job called the receiver. the receiver has the job to get memories of the past. Things they have never witnessed. He has seen tings others haven't seen. He has been seeing all of these visions and it's pretty much changing his life. But you're not sure if it's for the better or worse.

Jonas has been seeing all of these visions and all of these things other people have not seen and it is affecting him. Such as when he saw war for the first time. He was scared. He couldn't believed this could ever happen. He was used to his goody two shoes village where he thinks nothing bad happens and he would never get hurt. But this. This made him think differently about the world around him. When his friends were playing war and were pretending to be shot by fake guns, he knew the reality and couldn't go back to playing with them. The other kids were confused about what he was doing. He was just standing in the middle of the field they were playing on.One kid yelled jonas you're hit! He didn't move. He couldn't stop remembering what he saw. People dying. he was scared. He was uneasy. He whispered stop to all of them but they didn't get why he was doing this. They shrugged it off and went and played somewhere else. He was hesitant. He knew it was wrong to do. His mind kept on going back to the scene where he saw the man dying. The man wanted water. He almost cried just about a silly game of war. That is how much these visions are affecting his life. He can't even play a game with his friends anymore.

Also the first time he ever felt this much paint. He was sledding down a hill. He felt great. He was having so much fun. It was like the most fun he has ever had in his life. It was all going great until he hit a ramp. He was in mid air. He had a view of the park. But then all of a sudden, he was falling. He kept falling until he hit the ground and then BAM! His leg broke. He was i shock. He didn't know what was happening. Pain just went to his leg and his first instinct was to scream. He was scared. He didn't want to be there anymore. He wanted to leave. It was good while it lasted but when this happened he wanted to go. With this he felt pain. He did not like it but he needed to feel it. He is scarred from these memories and does not want to witness them anymore. He hates it.
